Department of Civil Engineering
Civil Engineering Department was established in the academic year 2013-14 with an intake of 60 and increased to 120. It is endowed with well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty and committed supporting staff. Students of the department are highly enthusiastic and actively participate in various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities apart from giving their best in academics. A congenial atmosphere prevails in the department and in particular between the teacher and the taught. All the laboratories of the department are well equipped with advanced and sophisticated instruments, to fully satisfy the training needs of the students and to meet the research and consultancy requirements of the department. Conducting seminars, workshops and conferences on the latest developments and arranging internships, industrial visits and expert lectures for the benefit of the students are regular features in the department.
- To excel in preparing Civil Engineering graduates with basic and core, professional and advanced knowledge to build better living environment, infrastructural facilities and conservation of natural resources.

Mission
HOD Profile
Dr. M. Palanisamy, Professor & Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at Balaji Institute of Technology & Science (Autonomous), Narsampet, Warangal Since 2017. He graduated in Civil Engineering at Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. He secured Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. He obtainedhis Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India in 2016. He is in the field of Teaching Profession for more than 20 years at various Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu and Telangana States. He has published nearly twenty five Scopus/SCI indexed scientific journal publications in National and International Journal/Conferences and awarded with Patents too. He published a text book entitled “Concrete Engineering” and “Maintenance, Repair and Rehabilitation of structures” in the year 2022. His main area of teaching interests includes Strength of Materials, Concrete Technology, Reinforced Concrete Structures and Steel Structures. He is the Life Member in ISTE and AMIE in Institution of Engineers India.

After completion of the Program, Graduates will be able to:
- Engineering knowledge: An Ability to apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex Civil engineering problems.
