The BITS IEEE Student Branch, in association with the National Innovation Foundation (NIF), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, organized an Expert Talk on "Grassroot Innovation for Social Good: Engineers as Change Makers" on 23 June 2026 at 10:00 AM in the BITS Auditorium. The session was delivered by Shri Subrat Kumar Barik from the National Innovation Foundation (NIF) and coordinated by Dr. V. Madhuk Kumar, Associate Professor, Dept. of ECE. The expert talk emphasized the importance of grassroots innovations in addressing real-world societal challenges and highlighted the significant role of engineers as innovators and change makers. Participants gained valuable insights into identifying local problems, fostering creativity, promoting sustainable solutions, and contributing to nation-building through innovation.
