Balaji Institute of Technology & Science, popularly known as BITS, was established by Maheshwara Educational Society in 2001 at Laknepally Village near Narsampet beside Warangal-Narsampet Main Road in an area of 35 acres with an in take of 180. The place is well connected by road and train and is only 20 minutes drive from Warangal. Presently the college offers B.Tech courses in EEE, ME, ECE, CIVIL & CSE with an intake of 600 besides MBA with an intake of 60. College also offers M.Tech Courses in CSE(36), SE(18), DSCE(18), ES(18) & EPS(18). BITS has been consistent to maintain excellence in the academic standards since its inception. Discipline is hallmark of BITS. Learning is an enjoyable experience here, with experienced faculty, inspiring libraries and large playgrounds and state-of-the-art labs. The management has constructed magnificent buildings on the campus surrounded by serene and natural surrounding with plenty of greenery. All the laboratories are established with sophisticated and modern equipment. The state-of-the-art facilities are provided in the institution to meet the academic requirements of the staff & students. Student's welfare, academic growth, their placements and overall personality development is the motto. Round the clock security, ATM, departmental stores and canteen are some of the facilities available in the campus.



The main objective of the training and placement cell is to develop the students the needs and expectations of the companies. It aims at improving the employability of the fresh graduates by developing the soft skills like communication ability, personality and so on.


The cell aims to develop the idea of entrepreneurship among the budding engineers. It nourishes the young minds through its industry institution interaction programs. Eminent persons in this area will address and interact with the students.


It is a social service scheme of students sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resources Development. Department of Youth Affairs and Sports. Govt. of India for the under Graduate students. Some of the specific objectives of this program are • to kindle the students' social consciousness • to develop awareness and knowledge of social realities • to gain skills in the exercise of democratic leadership

Extra Co-Curricular Activities

Apart from creating an excellent academic ambience BITS also encourages the students to exhibit their talents. Regular Annual events like literary, cultural activities. Sports and games are conducted to enhance the creative and competitive abilities among the students.

Social Responsibility

The students of BITS voluntarily contribute money, clothes and other essential items to the orphanages and old age homes. A special mention has to be made regarding the quality time the students spend with the less privileged. The management and faculty are happy to note that the students shoulder social responsibilities.

Annual Events

The College hosts a number of events for students throughout the year. College conducts techfests and workshops throughout the academic year to bring budding engineers from across the country for exchanging their views and talents. SHRESTAH, A National Level Technical Students' Symposium will be conducted every year. The college also organizes the annual day celebrations "Balaji Fest" which is a fun-filled activity.

Faculty Development

BITS encourages its faculty members to attend/conduct seminars. Workshops and conferences to enable them to constantly update and enhance their knowledge and skills. Regular guest lectures by expert faculty from reputed organizations are conducted for the benefit of the faculty. The management sponsors faculty to attend workshops, seminars and conferences.


The college has an Alumni Association BITSAA. It was formally inaugurated on 31st August, 2008. The objectives of the Alumni Association are 1. To bring together all the old students and the faculty of Balaji Institute of Technology & Science to share their experience with each other.
2. To utilize the rich experiences of old students of the college for the benefit and progress of the present students.
3. To provide guidance to the young engineers in their endeavour for better employment and higher studies.
4. To promote the campus placements through the old students working in reputed industries in India and abroad.
5. To get the valuable advices of the Alumni in the overall development of the college
6. To involve the members in the overall development of the college and the Society.

Student Chapters

ISTE student chapter started in the year of 2004 at BITS and nearly 350 students are members of ISTE student chapter. The main goal is to serve as a common agency for stimulating and guiding its members to formulate the general goals and responsibilities of technical education for the service of mankind and the advancement of general welfare.
